Application Support Engineer (A) Securities Finance

Tasks

• Act as an application expert for the Securities Lending & Borrowing solution (FIS SFTC, formerly APEX Collateral Management/FINACE)
• Provide comprehensive end-to-end 1st & 2nd level support to front-office traders
• Ensure system availability, handle run-the-bank issues, and manage releases for smooth daily operations
• Support business teams in their daily work and conduct investigations when needed
• Identify improvement opportunities and propose enhancements to systems and processes
• Participate in agile ceremonies, including daily routines and quarterly Program Increment (PI) planning
• Serve as a local liaison between Global Products & Solutions Technology, Central IT, and the external vendor

Requirements

• Completed education in a technical field (apprenticeship, college diploma, or equivalent)
• 5+ years of hands-on experience as an IT Engineer, Support Engineer, or IT Administrator in a financial environment
• Mandatory knowledge of Securities Lending and Borrowing systems (FIS SFTC / APEX / FINACE)
• Basic development skills (SQL, databases, Unix, scripting, Java) are an advantage
• Experience as a DevOps Engineer and familiarity with CI/CD and general IT troubleshooting
• Certifications such as MCSA, ITIL, or equivalent are a plus
• Proven communication skills for working with management, business units, IT teams, and external partners
• Independent, proactive, and structured working style with strong analytical and coordination skills
• Business fluency in English (C1/C2)
