For our client, a leading international financial institution based in Zurich, we are looking for an experienced Senior Java Engineer to join the GPS Markets PRISM team. In this key role, you will play an important part in building and enhancing the strategic central client data platform for Global Products & Solutions (GPS). You will contribute to the architecture, design, and implementation of a highly scalable, resilient, and secure platform, working closely with business and technology stakeholders across Zurich and Singapore

Key Responsibilities
- Drive the architecture, design, and implementation of a highly scalable, resilient, and secure platform
- Build and operate distributed systems and microservice-based architectures using modern Java technologies
- Translate business requirements and non-functional requirements into robust technical solutions
- Extensive professional experience in Java development, including Core Java and enterprise application development
- Strong expertise in concurrent and multithreaded programming
- Proven track record of designing and delivering scalable, highly available, and mission-critical systems
- Experience building and operating distributed systems and microservice-based architectures
- Strong knowledge of software engineering best practices, including clean code, design patterns, code reviews, and automated testing
- Strong technical expertise in Java, Spring Boot, event-driven architectures, and Apache Kafka
- Experience with cloud-native development, preferably on Microsoft Azure
- Experience with microservices and distributed systems design
- Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD), JUnit, Mockito, and related testing frameworks
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Experience with Kubernetes and containerized deployments
- Knowledge of monitoring and observability tooling such as Grafana
- Knowledge of security fundamentals, authentication, authorization, and secure software development practices
- Fluent in English; German is an advantage.
